Edoardo Weber started working on cars in 1914. In 1923 he opened his own company producing carburetors and he pioneered the usage of a twin barrel two stage carburetor. One stage was for low speed and the other was for higher speeds. He began working with the Ferrari and Alfa Romero racing teams in the 1930s designing and producing race carburetors where the concept was one carburetor for each cylinder of the race motor. Edoardo died in 1945 and Fiat bought control of the company. Weber carburetors were made in Bologna, Italy until 1992. Genuine Weber carburetors are currently manufactured in Madrid, Spain.
