DescriptionFor use with the UUC short shifter or with any factory shift linkage or aftermarket short shift kit. The UUC Double Shear Selector Rod (DSSR) replaces the original BMW selector rod which connects the shifter to the shift rod connection on the transmission. The DSSR reduces the lateral (side to side) play in the shifter by redistributing the torsional forces from the pin/bushing interface to the complete face area on both sides of the selector joint. This reduces the stresses on the forward shift connector which, over time, results in reduced shifter play and longer connector bushing life.
UUC is dedicated to engineering excellence, superior design, and ultimate performance. The company's guiding philosophy has always been: "If we can make something, we'll make it better. If we make it, it will be the best."
Opening its doors in 1998, UUC was quickly recognized as the technology-focused leader in their specialty components. While initially recognized for revolutionizing the short shifter kit, development of a large base of other parts has solidified their reputation for premiere quality and peerless performance results.
UUC produces a broad catalog of vehicle components, including:
UUC's line of "street-friendly, yet race-capable" components are primarily manufactured in UUC's own Georgia (U.S.A.) facilities. UUC's commitment to American manufacturing is further strengthened with the opening of a new CNC manufacturing center, providing expanded local employment, and constant attention to production and assembly processes, assuring customers of quality and integrity in every component that UUC offers.
