Site philosophy and function

Our online catalog was designed to help you find the BMW part you need
quickly, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so you can order the parts you
need even when we're not around to take your call. We also wanted to make
sure you couldn't order the wrong part by mistake. To accomplish this
we built a special feature that lets you shop by BMW year and model. Tell
us which BMW you're shopping for and we'll show you only the parts that
fit, (plus the parts that fit every model, such as wheel cleaner). That
way, there's no chance you can mistakenly order a gasket for a 1980 528i
when you drive a 1997 528i.

At Bavarian Autosport, if you leave our site for any reason--even if
your ISP drops your connection--and there are parts in your cart, we'll
save the contents for 30 days. Just log back in and go to "my cart"--your
parts will be there waiting for you. Remember -- to take advantage of this feature,
you must set up an account (if you don't already have one) and log in.

Free Shipping: Orders over $150 are shipped at no charge
via standard ground shipping, unless an exception applies.
Exceptions include:
- Oversized or heavy items such as wheels, brake rotors, exhaust systems, body parts, etc.,
- Orders to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, U.S. territories, APOs, FPOs, and internationally
(see map below).

- Orders for in-stock items taken before 1:00 pm Eastern time are shipped the same day.
- Orders placed after 1:00 pm Eastern time or on weekends will ship the next business day.
- Orders for items which are not in-stock (e.g. custom embroidery, special orders, back-orders,
etc.) will ship as soon as they become available. You will be advised
of estimated delivery time.
- Our standard shipping service is available to the 48 contiguous states. Rates are posted in the
table below.
- Next Day and 2-day shipping are available for an additional charge.
- Saturday delivery is available through our phone reps only and incurs
an additional charge.
- Saturdays, Sundays and holidays are not counted as shipping days. For example
- a 2-day order placed on a Monday prior to 1:00 pm would be delivered on
Wednesday; A 2-day order placed on a Thursday prior to 1:00 pm would be
delivered the following Monday. NOTE: applies to in-stock items only; items
which are not in stock will ship as soon as they become available.
- Ordering in a time-sensitive situation (i.e. you need it tomorrow)?,
GIVE US A CALL DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS (M-Th, 8am-9pm; Fri
8am-7pm; Sat 9am-4pm Eastern time) at 800.535.2002. The only way you can
guarantee delivery in 1 or 2 days is to speak with one of our phone reps
and confirm: 1) that we have the part available to ship to you immediately,
2) that we have your correct shipping and billing information, and 3) that
the order will be processed by 1:00 pm Eastern time.
You will hear from us! On
the day we process your online order, you can expect an e-mail from us detailing the
shipping status of the order and providing tracking information. If we have any
questions, we will call you to verify information.
Shipping hazardous materials.
The FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) strictly prohibits air shipments of items that contain certain
amounts of aerosols or flammable materials (e.g. paint). As a result, a few of the products we sell must
be shipped via ground carrier -- at no point on their journey from our warehouse to your house are these
items allowed on a plane. Because of this, these products are offered for sale only in the 48 contiguous
United States and Canada. There are no exceptions! If you place an order that contains one of these items,
and the requested delivery method involves any form of air shipping, we will contact you and let you know
when and how the item(s) in your order will be shipped.

When you need a BMW part or accessory immediately, follow this emergency
procedure:
- Call in your order by 9 am your time (Eastern, Central, Mountain
or Pacific).
- We'll process your order by 1 pm Eastern time.
- We'll ship it that day for 1-day delivery.
Our 9-1-1 Service is subject to the same restrictions and exceptions

We want you to be happy with your purchase. If you are not, you may return
it for a replacement, store credit or refund by following the procedure
outlined below.
NOTE: Returned merchandise must be in saleable condition in the manufacturer's
original packaging. No refund will be granted on any part that has been
installed, modified or that is not in saleable condition in its original
packaging. Electrical items are not returnable, nor are special orders.
Return procedure:
- Call or e-mail Customer Service (800.535.2002, ext. 7; customerservice@bavauto.com)
to obtain a RETURN AUTHORIZATION.
- Fill out the Return Information Form
and enclose it with the returned item. Wrap securely and address
to Bavarian Autosport, 275 Constitution Ave., Portsmouth, NH 03801.
Remember to print your return authorization # and return address clearly
on the outside of your package for identification purposes.
- Insure and ship the parcel prepaid via the US Postal Service, or UPS Ground. Returns sent COD or freight collect
will not be accepted.
Upon receipt of your return, we will promptly exchange the item, give
you a store credit or issue you a refund. We accept returns within 30
days of your receiving them. Exceptions are damaged and/or defective items
which have their own return policy. Items held longer than 30 days from
the date you received them may be exchanged for store credit. We reserve
the right to charge a handling and restocking fee.

Inventory & Special Orders
|
We sell almost every part BMW has made since 1967, including parts for the new MINI. The only parts we don't sell are those that are too difficult or
hazardous to ship, (e.g. windshields, batteries, complete engines, etc.). Our three-story warehouse is stocked to the rafters with more
than 400,000 of the most popular BMW and MINI parts. This huge inventory allows us to fill and ship the vast majority of orders the day we receive them.
Sometimes, people need parts that we don't stock. In most of those instances we are able to either drop-ship the part directly to you from one of our
suppliers, or bring it into our warehouse and ship it to you within a couple of days. (Obviously, items that are coming from Europe take a little longer.)
Orders for parts we do not stock are considered "special orders." Special orders must be prepaid and are non-returnable.
